Brand Story

Native Bay was born from the finest of Tampa a city built on grit, heart, and resilience. We are a husband-and-wife team with deep Tampa roots, working tirelessly to build this brand from the ground up. My husband, Matthew, works full-time in manufacturing, and I work in pediatric oncology at St. Joseph's Children's Hospital. Together, we are raising two children while juggling full-time jobs and pouring our hearts into this family-run business truly a labor of love.

For us, this hat is more than merchandise; it is a symbol of everything we hold dear. Inspired by the streets we grew up on, the sunsets over the Gulf, and the strength of those who came before us, Native Bay is our way of honoring the city that raised us and the heroes who shaped it.

My father served this city as a firefighter a quiet hero who never sought applause, only purpose. The firefighter shield emblem from his helmet is reflected in our design, honoring his service and sacrifice. The flame, the protection, the pride  it’s all there in the emblem, in every stitch, and in the story behind our brand.

This first hat is for those who live and breathe Tampa  for those who protect it, respect it, and pass it on. Native Bay is for the hometown heroes, the everyday legends, and anyone who understands what it means to be from here.

This is our city. This is our story. And this is just the beginning.
